The Women in Sport and Exercise Academic Network Annual Conference 2027 will be hosted by the University of Kent, Canterbury as a 2 day event on the 30th June and 1st July 2027. The WiSEAN network brings together academics and industry professionals working across sport, exercise, health, research and professional practice.

We are excited to welcome delegates with an interest in women’s sport and physical activity, including students, early-career colleagues, established researchers, practitioners and sector leaders. Whether you advance theory, shape policy, design products or deliver programmes, the conference is an opportunity to share your work, question assumptions and develop ideas for a more equitable and dynamic sport and physical activity sector.

At the heart of WiSEAN is a commitment to creating an accessible, supportive space where people can share research and practice, exchange ideas and build collaborations. Together, these activities can help translate insight into meaningful change across women’s sport and physical activity.
